The location and procedures for the October meeting have changed. We will be meeting at CHOMPIE'S, 3212 E. Cactus Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032. Due to construction at our normal meeting place, Tempe Rolling Hills golf course, we have moved our venue for the month. (meeting times remain the same, dinner at 6, meeting at 7pm). Chompie's has a very nice room that can easily accommodate 50 people and can be adapted for audio visual.
Our October meeting really kicks off a busy sailing season so come congregate with your fellow sailors. Deedy and Doug lived aboard a Bob Perry 46’ Seamaster in Houston. Doug Payne will speak on experiences owning and sailing a large bluewater sailing vessel and sailing America’s third coast, the gulf of Mexico. Doug will also cover hurricane IKE and the damage and repair to the boat.

Dinner will be different. Chompie's requires a $400 minimum. This bill must be pre-paid by the club and it means we need to have at least 20 attendees that buy dinner to cover the cost. Dinner will be served promptly at 6:00pm The pre-set menu is roast chicken, brisket, garden salad, green beans almondine and glazed carrots. It includes iced tea and water. The cost is $19 and a 23% gratuity, bringing it to a total of $23.37 per person. There will be a cash bar, so your favorite drinks are available. THIS IS IMPORTANT! Chompie's does not have the ability to bill individually in their Conference Center, so registering for the October meeting on the LPSC website is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. When you register to attend the general meeting you will be required to pre-pay for your dinner.
