Did you know that on this day in 1887, the world’s largest snowflake was discovered? It measured 15 inches wide by 8 inches thick and was found in a snowstorm at Fort Keogh, Montana.
As boaters we can be thankful that on this day in1915 the United States Coast Guard was formed by an act of the US Congress. So lets set sail knowing that at least when we hit the big waters the US Coast Guard is there to keep mariners safe.
Maybe we will see you sailing on the North side of Horse Island or Balance Rock Island. Then head over to Honeymoon cove around 4:00pm and raft up before sunset at 6:00pm
