St. Patrick’s Day Cruise, Raft-up and GUEST SAIL

 Lake Pleasant, Honeymoon Cove

Note: this is Friday - Saturday

Let's have some fun on the water this St. Patrick’s Day!! We have had a great time in the past with an event I will call Sailing Hopscotch. Rather than scattering around the lake we will come together for a coordinated activity in relatively close formation.

Let the Shenanigans begin!! We will start near the opening to Honeymoon Cove at 11:00am. Form a line behind Frequent Flyer and begin to sail. Frequent Flyer will sail with all boats sailing in line behind her for 15 minutes. At the 15 minute mark Frequent Flyer will tack, sail back and fall in behind the last boat in the fleet. The number two boat in line will now take the lead for 15 minutes until it in turn sails to the back of the fleet leaving the number three boat in the lead for 15 minutes and on and on.

It is a blast sailing past the your fellow sailors hootin and hollerin on your way to the back of the fleet only to see them do the same. The more boats the more fun so register early and get out and have some fun.

Plan on returning to Honeymoon Cove at 4:30pm  for an overnight raft up were we will make St. Patrick's Day merriment, have a bite to eat and fall asleep to the wild burros braying in to the night.  Bring a dish to pass and your favorite green refreshment. For sailors new to raft ups dont' be shy, know that there are plenty of patient sailors ready to assist. A prize will be awarded for the best dressed boat.

Hail on your marine radio on  Channel 69 or call Mike on 734-355-8000.
