In April 1916 Ernest Shackleton sets out in a lifeboat from Elephant Island to get help for the shipwrecked men in his Antarctic expedition. The dangerous journey was successful and the men were rescued.

Join the sailors of Lake Pleasant Sailing Club on a mid-week sail with lunch at Scorpion Bay Grill. If you would like to find out what sailing is about this is your chance to do some sailing, learn how to dock a boat at the restaurant docks and talk to sailors about sailing over lunch. Bring your personal flotation device if you have one, lunch money and be ready to sail.
